WCSC-U16 Girls-Sep-1The Wesley Chapel Soccer Club U16 Girls continued their stellar season with a new milestone, reaching the Elite 8 at the Florida Youth Soccer Association State Cup.  The State Cup is regarded as the premier state level competition for youth soccer.
To reach the round of 16, the team overcame very tough competition, capped with a 1-0 win over the state’s #4 ranked team, FC Florida Elite (Port St. Lucie). They then dominated in the round of 16 Game, defeating Lakeland FC 9-0 to advance to the Elite 8.  In the Round of 8 game, the team fell to Tampa Bay United in a very competitive contest, ending their exciting State Cup run.
Coach Fredi Moore commented on the team’s progression during the season: “The girls have had a long and challenging schedule, playing the strongest teams in theU16Girls-AdidasChamps-2016-1 state. They also faced some good out of state teams in winning the Disney President’s Cup in February. It is very satisfying as a coach to see their hard work pay off and for the girls to be playing their best soccer when it counts the most.”
Wesley Chapel Soccer Club’s Director of Coaching, Altin Ndrita added: “As a club we are very proud of the U16 Girls, their accomplishments, and the positive manner in which they represent our club. Most of the girls on the team came up through our club’s recreational program, and it is fantastic to see them develop over the years and work hard to to reach their goals in soccer.”
